The Indian government has recently updated the import management regulations for photovoltaic and wind energy components. Relevant importers are required to complete registration on the “Renewable Energy Equipment Import Monitoring System (REEIMS)” website before the goods enter the country, and clearly declare the final use of imported products and their components. The validity period of each registration is 3 months.
This regulation will be officially implemented from November 1, 2025, and applies to all relevant goods entering India by air, land, or sea transport. Importers must submit registration applications in advance, with specific timelines as follows:
- Air cargo: At least 2 days in advance
- Sea and land cargo: At least 5 days in advance
And Special attention should be paid to completing the registration for the following products:
- Photovoltaic products: HS Codes are 70071900, 85414200, 85414300
- Wind power generation products: HS Codes include 73082019, 84833000, 84834000, 85016420, 85016430, 85023100, 85030090
