CE Mark Scope:

The CE mark is only applicable to products within the scope of EU regulations. Products bearing the CE mark indicate that they have been assessed to comply with EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements. Products manufactured anywhere in the world require the CE mark if they are to be sold in the European Union.

As the manufacturer of the product, you are solely responsible for declaring compliance with all requirements. You do not need a license to affix the CE mark on your product, but before that, you must:

  • Determine whether the product can be self-evaluated or need to involve a designated third-party in the evaluation;
  • Organize and archive a technical file that proves product compliance. Its content should include the followings:
  1. Company Name and Address Or the Authorized Representatives
  2. Product Name
  3. Product Marking, like serial numbers
  4. Name and Address of Designer& Manufacturer
  5. Name and Address of Compliance Assessment Party
  6. Declaration on the Following of Complex Assessment Procedure

  8. Instructions and Marking
  9. Declaration on the Products ‘Compliance with the Related Regulations
  10. Declaration on Compliance with Technical Standards
  11. Components List
  12. Test Results
  • Draw up and sign the Declaration of Conformity

How to use CE mark?

  • The CE mark must be visible, clear and not damaged by friction.
  • The CE mark consists of the first letter “CE”, and the vertical dimensions of the two letters should be the same and not less than 5mm (unless specified in the relevant product requirements).
  1. If you want to reduce or enlarge the CE mark on the product, you should zoom in equal proportions;
  2. As long as the first letter remains visible, the CE mark can take different forms (for example, color, solid or hollow).
  3. If the CE mark cannot be affixed to the product itself, it can be affixed to the packaging or any accompanying brochure

Notifications:
