New regulations for the import of products from countries of the Eurasian Economic Union2

Note: The members of the Eurasian Economic Union are Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia

Overview:

On November 12, 2021, the Eurasian Economic Union Commission (EEC) adopted Resolution No. 130 – “On the procedures for the importation of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment into the customs area of ​​the Eurasian Economic Union”. The new product import rules came into effect on January 30, 2022.

Requirements:

From January 30, 2022, when importing products for customs declaration, in the case of obtaining the EAC certificate of conformity (CoC) and the declaration of conformity (DoC), the relevant certified copies must also be submitted when the products are declared. The copy of the COC or DoC is required to be stamped completed “copy is correct” and signed by the applicant or manufacturer (see attached template).

Remarks: 

1. The applicant refers to a company or agent operating legally within the EAEU;

2. Regarding the copy of EAC CoC/DoC stamped and signed by the manufacturer, since the customs will not accept the stamped and signed documents of overseas manufacturers in the past, please consult the local customs broker for feasibility of the operation.
