Vietnam-The mandatory scope of lithium battery will be extended

MIC battery standard

In 2019, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued a draft of a new batch of mandatory lithium battery products, but it has not yet been officially released. MCM has recently received the latest news about this draft. The original draft has been revised and is scheduled to be submitted to the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam for review and announcement in August 2021. In addition, the ten secondary lithium battery products controlled by the original draft (as shown below) have been reduced to four, and the other six deleted may be added again in the future.

According to the feedback from the Vietnamese laboratory, the performance test of lithium batteries will not be required this year, and there is no specific time for the mandatory time. We will keep on to pay attention!
